If there’s one thing we love to do, it’s showing families and prospective students around our campus. From our open plan reception, to our acoustically optimised classrooms, we love giving our visitors a full view of what their learning and living experience will be like at Rugby School Nigeria.

However, on the off chance that you’re not able to physically come and see our facilities, we made this Virtual Tour to tide you over until you can come see our spaces yourselves!

Rugby School Nigeria welcomed prospective families, students, and visitors to our second Open Day of the year! The event allowed our visitors to experience life at the our campus firsthand, with a number of staff presentations and student-led campus tours, as well as Entrance Assessments for prospective pupils.

We were able to showcase not only the confidence, knowledge, and enthusiasm of our students, but also the continued development of our campus and facilities. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with future and potential Rugbeians, and share all that makes our School a unique place to learn and grow.

Recognising and celebrating Nigeria’s rich history and wide range of cultures is extremely important for us at Rugby School Nigeria.

With this in mind, our Staff and Students came together to put on a grand showcase, celebrating a multitude of countries from different regions and continents. From Senegal to Spain, we had a plethora of activities , including but not limited to Plays, Dance Performances, Competitions, and so much more. 

We had an incredibly fun time, with every member of our community putting their best foot forward. It was surely one of the best showcases we’ve had so far!

Last May, from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th, we hosted an amazing group of children for a taste of what our Boarding Facilities will look like in September!

The Weekend was filled with fun activities, such as football and ping pong games, as well as engaging class sessions, headed by our academic staff. These included science experiments, Arts and Crafts classes, and much more.

Between building confidence, embracing new friendships, and experiencing the day-to-day life of a Boarder, we think this weekend was an absolute success for the students, and we can’t wait to have them join us for our September 2026 session!

In his latest update from inside our brand-new campus at Eko Atlantic City on the doorstep of families in Lagos, Principal, Adam England shares a glimpse of what makes our school unique:

“The first thing you will probably notice is the width and height of our corridors. This allows pupils to arrive at class completely focused on what they need to do,” Dr Adam enthuses.

With 56 classrooms, sports pitches, an adaptive learning department, and an amazing library designed to develop higher-order skills, every detail reflects our commitment to excellence.

As Dr England explains: “Once school is open you will see our facilities, our sports pitches and of course our amazing library which is designed to allow children to concentrate and develop all their higher-order skills along with our adaptive learning department.”

Students across Nigeria, and around the world, have received their IGCSE results. We know how much hard work has gone into reaching this milestone, and we wish every student the very best as they take the next step in their educational journey.

At Rugby School Nigeria, we are proud to be the first British-based school to offer an A Level programme in the nation, beginning this September for students aged 16+.

Our Sixth Form will give ambitious young people access to world-class teaching, global opportunities, and the heritage of a school founded in 1567 – right here in Lagos.

As our Principal, Dr Adam England, says:

“I’m wishing all the IGCSE students globally, in Africa and in Lagos, the very very best for their results today. We were delighted to welcome Azeez Ladipo, General Manager at Nigeria Rugby, and Ada Onyedikachi, one of the longest-serving rugby players in Nigeria, to our new campus in Eko Atlantic City in the heart of Lagos.

During their visit, they met with Dr Adam England, Principal of Rugby School Nigeria, and toured our soon-to-open facilities. It was a wonderful opportunity to share our vision for Rugby School Nigeria and our commitment to nurturing talent both in the classroom and on the field.

In this video, Dr Joy Isa, Director of Admissions and Marketing, shares her reflections on what has been achieved and what lies ahead:

“I am delighted to welcome you to Rugby School Nigeria, a dream that so many thought would be impossible. With the help of over 1,000 workers working day and night, we have been able to translate the dream to reality.”

From state-of-the-art classrooms filled with natural light, to fully equipped science labs, ICT rooms, and a world-class library — everything is ready. Most importantly, as Dr Isa reminds us, “our teachers are ready too.”

We cannot wait to welcome our first Year 7 (age 11+) and Year 12 (age 16+ A Level) students and to open our doors to parents, families, and guests.
