Shaping the Future of Rugby in Nigeria: A Visit from the NRFF

We were delighted to welcome Azeez Ladipo General Manager of the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation to Rugby School Nigeria today.

Dr Adam England, our Principal, enjoyed a productive conversation with Mr Ladipo about the future of rugby in Nigeria and how we can work together to remove barriers to entry for both men and women.

“Nigerians are ideally suited to the game of rugby,” said Dr England. “Its values—teamwork, resilience, respect – are already deeply rooted in Nigerian society. We’re excited to promote the sport at every level, from schools to the workplace.”

Rugby will be just one part of our rich and diverse sports programme at Rugby School Nigeria.

Students will also take part in football, volleyball, cricket, hockey, netball, swimming and basketball among others.

We believe in sport as a foundation for character, confidence and community. And we can’t wait to get started.
